Dr. Seth Gilson · The Mindful Doctor
The Mindful
Doctor Podcast
Conversations about dentistry, whole-body health, mindfulness, and what it takes to think differently about the way we care for ourselves.
The conversation often starts with the mouth, but it rarely ends there.
Why I Created It
Better health starts with better questions.
I wanted a place where curiosity comes before certainty, and where people can hear how thoughtful practitioners actually think about health.
I created The Mindful Doctor Podcast to share openly. There is an enormous amount of health information available, but information without context can leave people more confused, not more empowered.
The podcast gives me the space to sit down with dentists, physicians, researchers, wellness professionals, teachers, and people with lived experience and have the kind of conversations that rarely fit into a quick appointment or a social-media post.
We talk about oral health, of course. But we also explore nutrition, the microbiome, sleep, airway, functional and integrative health, movement, mindfulness, personal growth, and the human experiences that shape how we care for ourselves.
The goal is not to tell you what to believe. It is to give you more context, more perspectives, and better questions to bring into your own health decisions.
What We Explore
Health is bigger than one specialty.
The show follows the connections that matter, even when they cross the usual boundaries between dentistry, medicine, wellness, and personal development.
Oral & Whole-Body Health
The oral microbiome, inflammation, periodontal health, materials, infections, airway, sleep, and the many ways the mouth participates in overall health.
Dentistry That Thinks Differently
Biological, biomimetic, holistic, and functional perspectives on preserving teeth, choosing materials, and supporting dental longevity.
Integrative Health
Conversations with practitioners who look beyond symptoms and explore nutrition, lifestyle, physiology, environment, and the bigger picture of health.
Mindfulness & Self-Awareness
Breathwork, meditation, yoga, emotional awareness, and the practices that help us become more intentional in how we live and respond.
Longevity & Daily Health
Sleep, movement, nutrition, habits, recovery, technology, and practical ideas that can support health over a lifetime.
The Human Side of Healing
The personal stories, challenges, beliefs, and experiences behind the people doing meaningful work in health and wellness.
The Conversation
Less performance.
More curiosity.
I am interested in what people have learned, what changed their minds, what they still question, and what they wish more people understood.
My favorite conversations do not feel like lectures. They feel like sitting down with someone interesting, removing the pressure to have every answer, and seeing where an honest conversation can take us.

Your Host
Dr. Seth Gilson, D.M.D.
Dentist, educator, lifelong student, and curious human.
I am a practicing biological, biomimetic, and holistic dentist at Our Holistic Dentistry in Aventura, Florida. My clinical work has led me deeper into questions about oral-systemic health, biomimetic dentistry, the microbiome, airway, TMJ, nutrition, mindfulness, and dental longevity.
The podcast is an extension of that curiosity. It gives me a place to learn in public, ask people questions I genuinely want answered, and share conversations that may help others think about their health in a more informed and intentional way.
The Mindful Doctor Podcast is created for education and general information. Podcast conversations do not establish a clinician-patient relationship, are not a diagnosis, and are not a substitute for individualized medical, dental, or other professional care. Health decisions should be made with an appropriately qualified professional who understands your personal history and clinical circumstances.
